Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) is concerned with developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to understand, value and lead healthy and fulfilling lifestyles. During this semester, students have concentrated on the following areas: New Environments, New Challenges, Drug Use and Abuse, Team Games, Fitness and Sport Skill development. They also learn to improved their capacity to manage challenging situations  and further develop their skills in physical activity.

Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) is concerned with developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to understand, value and lead healthy and fulfilling lifestyles. During this semester Year 8 have concentrated on the following areas: Health Issues for young people, Active Lifestyle, Team Games, Fitness and Sport Skills Development. It is expected that students will have developed their capacity to deal with issues that may impact on them now or in the future and further develop their skills in physical activity.

Students concentrate on the following areas: Relationships and Challenges, Active for Life and Fitness and Sport Skill Development. They learn to manage challenging situations and develop strategies to support themselves and others as well as further develop their skills in physical activity.

Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) is concerned with developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to understand, value and lead healthy and fulfilling lifestyles. During this Semester students have concentrated on the areas of Risks, Choices and Staying Safe, Recreation and Sport Skill Development. It is expected that students will have improved their capacity to manage challenging situations now and in the future and further develop their skills in physical activity.

This course focuses on students learning about and practising ways of maintaining active, healthy lifestyles and improving their health status. In Semester 1, students study the relationships between anatomy, physiology, fitness and biomechanics as well as the exercise options that are available to meet the fitness needs of individuals. In Semester 2, they investigate the concepts of health and physical activity and explore how people's views of each differ according to their experience and backgrounds. Students also investigate the assessment and management of various injuries and medical conditions.

The Personal Development, Health and Physical Education course involves students learning about ways of maintaing active, healthy lifestyles and improving their health status. It is concerned with the social and scientific understandings of movement. In Semester 1 students study two Core Modules. Core Module 1 examines the health status of Australians and investigates the current health priority areas in Australia. Core Module 2 examines the factors that affect performance. This includes the relationship between training and movement potential and the body's response to aerobic training. In Semester 2, the students will concentrate on two Options: Sports Medicine and Improving Performance. These are concerned with the specific issues of prevention, assessment, management and recovery from sports injury as well as the approaches for the physiological and psychological preparation of athletes.
